TURA from the 50´s.
The TURA alimuniums were built over very few and similar fronts, and depending on when in the 50´s, TURA had different temple generations.
Tura´s from this time are all about Jewlry work. The desig were created in various jewlry workshops in the New York area.
There are spectacular rareties in this tray, with above average examples of TURA work.
Slot 1 - Shiny black frame with flower/pearl/diamond decor on front and one temple. Bayonet temples. Very good condition. US$ 250.
Slot 2 - Black with the classic trim on bridge, end-pieces and temples. Good but temples loose. US$ 300.
Slot 3 - As above but taupe satin finish. Temple has a more standard shape instead of bayonet. Mint. US$ 200.
Slot 4 - Black frame - full cover on top of eyes. Green lens needs replacing. Condition fair. US$ 200.
Slot 5 - NOS - Satin silver with beautiful stones and trims on end-pieces and temples. US$ 200.
Slot 6 - Satin brown. Great decors. Very good condition but has prescription. US$ 250.
Slot 7 - NOS - Shiny silver - beautiful lilies growing up sides of front and an exquisite large leaf on the left temple. Mint. US$ 400.
Slot 8 - Shiny gunmetal. Very nice decors on end-piece and extending down the temples. Has prescription lens but Mint. US$ 300.Slot 9 - Satin gold with metal like 1-5-4 - fair only. US$ 150.
Slot 10 - Satin silver. Exquisite metal roses on front and rose leaves on temple. Very good. Demo lens. US$ 200.
Slot 11 - Shiny black with engraved flowers showing silver underneath. Very nice work. Very good but temples loose and has lens. US$ 200.
Slot 12 - Shiny burgundy with gold rivets on end-pieces and bridge and amazing rivet patterns on temples. VG. US$ 200.
Slot 13 - Satin brown front with metal flowers on end-pieces and temples. US$ 250.
Slot 14 - Satin gold leaves on both sides and flower with pearl on left end-piece. Museum piece. Mint. US$ 300.
Slot 15 - Shiny brown with trim like 1-5-9 - temples loose - has prescription. US$ 150.
